What is antipasti at Oliva?
Antipasti or antipasto is a traditional Italian snack. Why is it called that? It translates as anti ”before” and paste ”food”. Antipasti is something in between a classic chef’s complement and our usual slices. It is served cold or hot. The main ingredients are vegetables combined with meat or seafood. Cheeses and herbs like basil, mint or rosemary can also be added. How is it served? The antipasti are served on a large round or oval plate or a wooden tray. The antipasti are served before the main course. You can taste it in our restaurant or order antipasti delivery in Chisinau. We have improved our menu a bit in terms of antipasti; you can now also find grissini, focaccia and bruschetta. Antipasti is not a substitute for the main dish. Its task is to ”decorate” the wait while preparing meat, fish or pasta. We invite you to our restaurant today!
